How it works

1. Activate Orthion's second ability by paying 6 and tapping it, creating five token copies of Verdant Eidolon with haste.
2. Activate a Verdant Eidolon token by paying and sacrificing it, adding if it's the first or second token you've sacrificed, or otherwise.
3. When the Verdant Eidolon token dies, Orthion triggers, untapping itself.
4. Repeat from step 2 for each remaining Verdant Eidolon token.
5. Repeat from step 1.
6. Once you have infinite mana, you may forego sacrificing the Verdant Eidolon tokens and/or target any other creature.

This wondrous loop turns Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink into a one-man mana factory by leveraging the clever synergy of Thornbite Staff. When Orthion uses its massive six-mana ability to flood the board with five token copies of Verdant Eidolon, the Staff instantly snaps onto Orthion thanks to its Shaman-equipping trigger. As you sacrifice each Verdant Eidolon for a sudden burst of three mana, the Staff's passive ability untaps Orthion every single time a creature dies, allowing you to repeat the process endlessly and generate infinite colored mana, infinite creature tokens, and infinite hasty copies of whatever creature your heart desires.
