How it works

  1. Cast Chronozoa by paying 3U mana. It will enter without a time counter on it due to Solemnity.
  2. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Chronozoa.
  3. When Chronozoa dies, it triggers, creating two token copies of itself that also enter with no time counters on them due to Solemnity.
  4. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
  5. Repeat from step 2 using a token copy of Chronozoa instead.

This loop turns Chronozoa into a self-replicating sacrifice engine by completely bypassing its usual restriction. Normally, you would have to wait three turns for its Vanishing counters to tick down, but Solemnity steps in to prevent any counters from ever being placed on it, causing it to die with zero time counters the very moment it hits the battlefield. Because of this, sacrificing it to Woe Strider immediately triggers its ability to create two exact token copies, which in turn enter the battlefield counter-less and ready to be sacrificed right back into the loop.
