How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 2 life.
4. Heliod triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
6. Repeat.

This resilient loop turns an ordinary life-gain trigger into an engine for infinite value, anchored by Heliod, Sun-Crowned and its knack for rewarding you every time you gain life. When you feed Kitchen Finks to Woe Strider's sacrifice ability, the Finks's persist trigger brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, while its entrance simultaneously pads your life total. That little burst of life prompts Heliod, Sun-Crowned to place a +1/+1 counter on the returning Kitchen Finks, neatly wiping away its -1/-1 counter through the magic of state-based actions.
