How it works

  1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Memnite.
  2. Cast Memnite from your graveyard by paying 0. It will not enter with a finality counter on it due to Solemnity.
  3. Repeat.

This clever loop lets you sacrifice and recur Memnite an infinite number of times, generating endless death, sacrifice, and leave-the-battlefield triggers while feeding Woe Strider's scry ability. The true engine of the combo is Leonardo, Sewer Samurai, whose static ability allows you to cast 1-power or 1-toughness creatures straight from your graveyard during your turn. Normally, those creatures would enter with a finality counter and be permanently exiled upon dying, but Solemnity's preventive static ability completely shuts down all counters from being placed on your permanents. Without the finality counters sticking, Memnite can be continuously sacrificed to Woe Strider and immediately re-cast for free, creating a frictionless loop of eternal recycling.
