How it works

  1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Memnite.
  2. When Memnite dies, Mortuary and Remembrance trigger.
  3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Memnite from your graveyard on top of your library.
  4. Resolve the Remembrance trigger, searching your library for Memnite and putting it into your hand.
  5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability, causing you to scry 1.
  6. Cast Memnite by paying 0.
  7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a humble zero-mana artifact creature into an endless engine of sacrifice and search. Whenever you feed Memnite to Woe Strider's sacrifice ability, Mortuary immediately catches the creature on its way to the graveyard and sets it right back on top of your library. At the same time, Remembrance capitalizes on that exact same death trigger to tutor another copy of the card directly into your hand, bypassing the library draw altogether. Because Memnite costs absolutely nothing to cast, you can immediately redeploy it to the battlefield and repeat the process endlessly, churning through your entire deck while generating boundless death triggers and scry activations.
