How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Infernal Vessel.
2. When Infernal Vessel dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a Demon in addition to its other types.
3. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
4. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Infernal Vessel.
5. When Infernal Vessel dies, Luminous Broodmoth triggers, returning Infernal Vessel from your graveyard to the battlefield with a flying counter on it.
6. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop uses Woe Strider as a persistent sacrifice outlet that fuels endless death and enter-the-battlefield triggers. When you first feed Infernal Vessel to Woe Strider, its own resurrection clause brings it back as a Demon with two +1/+1 counters. On its second death, however, Luminous Broodmoth steps in to return it with a flying counter instead, bypassing the "wasn't a Demon" restriction by granting it flying. Because Infernal Vessel now lacks flying on the initial sacrifice and alternates its resurrection mechanisms, this creates an infinite self-sustaining cycle of sacrifices and scrys.
