How it works
- Activate Urza by paying 6, creating a token copy of Su-Chi Cave Guard that is a 1/1 Soldier in addition to its other types.
- Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the Su-Chi Cave Guard token.
- When the token Su-Chi Cave Guard dies, it triggers, adding eight C.
- Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
- Repeat.
This engine uses Urza, Prince of Kroog to turn your graveyard and mana into a self-sustaining loop, leveraging his ability to manufacture token copies of high-value machinery. By feeding the resulting Su-Chi Cave Guard token into Woe Strider's sacrifice ability, you trigger the Cave Guard's death effect to generate a massive windfall of colorless mana—more than enough to pay for Urza's copy cost again while netting a surplus. Meanwhile, Woe Strider keeps the loop oiled by letting you scry away unwanted draws with every sacrifice, ensuring you can repeat the process indefinitely to bury your opponents under an avalanche of artifact and creature triggers.
