How it works

1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Ayara triggers, returning Combat Celebrant from your graveyard to the battlefield and giving it haste.
2. Declare Combat Celebrant as an attacker, choosing to exert it as it attacks.
3. Combat Celebrant triggers, untapping all other creatures you control and causing you to get an additional combat phase after this one.
4. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Combat Celebrant, causing you to scry 1.
5. Repeat each combat phase.

This elegant loop turns the graveyard into a perpetual motion machine by anchoring itself to the start of your combat phase. Every turn, Ayara, Widow of the Realm pulls Combat Celebrant straight from your graveyard with haste, setting the stage for an attack where you can exert the Celebrant to untap your board and grant yourself an extra combat step. To ensure you can repeat this ad infinitum, Woe Strider stands ready to sacrifice the Celebrant once its attack is declared, sending it right back to the graveyard so Ayara can recur it anew for the next combat phase while also letting you scry 1 along the way.
