How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing a creature
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
4. Cast the creature from the top of your library by paying X life, where X is the creature's mana value.
5. Aetherflux Reservoir triggers, causing you to gain 1 life for each spell you've cast this turn.
6. Repeat.

This loop creates a self-sustaining engine by turning Woe Strider into a recurring sacrifice outlet that feeds right back into your hand through the top of your library. Thanks to Mortuary, every time you sacrifice a creature it bypasses the graveyard to sit squarely on top of your library, perfectly positioned for Bolas's Citadel to let you recast it immediately by paying life instead of mana. Meanwhile, Aetherflux Reservoir tracks this endless casting chain to continuously pad your life total, ensuring you never run out of Citadel life to pay—and eventually, that same life buffer lets you fire off Aetherflux Reservoir's 50-damage activation to close out the game.
