How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the additional nontoken green creature.
2. When the creature dies, Verdant Succession and Hua Tuo trigger.
3. Holding priority, activate Hua Tuo by tapping it, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Hua Tuo trigger from step 2, untapping it.
5. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for the sacrificed creature and putting it onto the battlefield.
6. Resolve the Woe Strider ability from step 1, causing you to scry 1.
7. Repeat.

This clever engine transforms the death of a green creature into an endless loop by leveraging Thornbite Staff's automatic untap trigger to continually refresh Hua Tuo, Honored Physician. When you sacrifice a green creature to Woe Strider, Verdant Succession lets you instantly replace it from your library while Hua Tuo safely tucks the original card back onto the top of your deck just in time for it to be found again.
