How it works

  1. Activate Overgrown Estate by sacrificing a land.
  2. Repeat step 1 until you control no lands.
  3. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing World Shaper.
  4. When World Shaper dies, it triggers, return all lands from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.
  5. When the lands enter, Emeria Shepherd triggers that many times.
  6. Resolve an Emeria Shepherd trigger that was triggered by a Plains, returning World Shaper from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Resolve all remaining Emeria Shepherd triggers.
  8. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
  9. Repeat

By leveraging the sacrifice outlet of Woe Strider to send World Shaper to the graveyard, we trigger World Shaper's ability to flood the board with every land we've discarded. Those returning lands turn Emeria Shepherd into an engine of resurrection, letting us pull World Shaper and other nonland permanents directly back to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Overgrown Estate provides the necessary lever to clear our lands into the graveyard in the first place while padding our life total, feeding an infinite loop of death triggers, landfall, and graveyard recursion.
