How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Body Launderer.
2. When Body Launderer dies, its second ability triggers, returning Grist, Voracious Larva from your graveyard to the battlefield.
3. When Grist, Voracious Larva enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to pay to exile it and return it to the battlefield as Grist, the Plague Swarm with six loyalty counters due to Doubling Season.
4. Resolve the Woe Strider ability, causing you to scry 1.
5. Activate Grist, the Plague Swarm's third loyalty ability by removing six loyalty counters from it.
6. Grist, the Plague Swarm is put into your graveyard as a state-based action due to having zero loyalty.
7. Resolve the Grist, the Plague Swarm ability, creating two token copies of each creature card in your graveyard that are 1/1 Insects.
8. Put all but one of the Grist, Voracious Larva tokens into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
9. When the Grist, Voracious Larva and Hidden Herbalist tokens enter the battlefield, each Hidden Herbalist token triggers once and each Grist, Voracious Larva token triggers for each token created this way.
10. Resolve all Grist, Voracious Larva triggers, choosing not to pay.
11. Resolve both Hidden Herbalist triggers, adding .
12. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the Grist, Voracious Larva token, causing you to scry 1.
13. Repeat from step 1, sacrificing a Body Launderer token instead.

Woe Strider acts as your primary sacrifice outlet, fodder-maker, and eventual escape recursion piece, while Body Launderer bridges the gap by pulling Grist, Voracious Larva straight out of the graveyard whenever it dies. Once Grist enters, its front face triggers to flip itself into Grist, the Plague Swarm, and thanks to Doubling Season's passive replacement effect, it arrives with double the loyalty counters—exactly enough to immediately activate its devastating ultimate. When that ultimate copies every creature card in your graveyard as 1/1 Insects, Doubling Season doubles those token creations, flooding your board with multiple Grist, Voracious Larva and Hidden Herbalists. The newly minted Hidden Herbalists cash in on the constant departures to churn out an abundance of green mana, fueling a continuous cycle that lets you sacrifice, reanimate, and ultimate your way to infinite resources.
