How it works

1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Elegant Edgecrafters.
2. When Elegant Edgecrafters dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Elegant Edgecrafters enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an engine of continuous rebirth by granting your other nontoken creatures persist on its reverse face. When you sacrifice Elegant Edgecrafters to Woe Strider's activated ability, its persist brings it right back, where its fabricate ability immediately triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on it. State-based actions then combine that new +1/+1 counter with the existing -1/-1 counter from persist to neatly neutralize both, leaving Elegant Edgecrafters completely fresh and ready to be sacrificed to Woe Strider all over again.
