How it works

  1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing Michelangelo.
  2. When Michelangelo dies, it and Deathrender trigger.
  3. Resolve the Michelangelo trigger, returning it from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting Michelangelo from your hand onto the battlefield and attaching Deathrender to it.
  5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
  6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the cycle of life and death into a well-oiled engine by leveraging Deathrender's ability to cheat creatures directly into play whenever the equipped creature bites the dust. Woe Strider provides the necessary outlet by letting you sacrifice Michelangelo, On the Scene at will, while Deathrender ensures that when Michelangelo hits the graveyard, it instantly slides right back onto the battlefield equipped and ready to go again. Meanwhile, Michelangelo's own built-in clause returns it straight to your hand upon dying, perfectly lining up with the equipment's trigger so the cycle can repeat indefinitely for boundless sacrifices, scrys, and enter-the-battlefield triggers.
