How it works

3. Resolve the Woe Strider ability.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive gift of persist into an engine of endless rebirth, granted entirely by Tatterkite's clever immunity to -1/-1 counters. Because Tatterkite simply shrugs off the counter that would normally lock it away, sacrificing it to Woe Strider allows you to repeat the cycle indefinitely. Meanwhile, Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn stands ready on the reverse side to help weave your creature spells together with convoke, though this particular dance relies entirely on Woe Strider's ravenous hunger and Tatterkite's stubborn resilience to fuel infinite sacrifices and scrys.
