How it works
Activate Grimgrin's ability from Karametra's Favor by tapping Grimgrin, adding one mana.
Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing the creature castable for one mana, untapping Grimgrin and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
When that creature dies, Anax triggers, creating a creature token or a token that adds mana.
If you created a creature token, repeat steps 1 and 2 to sacrifice that token and add an additional mana.
If you created a token that adds mana, instead activate that token to add mana.
Activate Havengul Lich by paying 1, allowing you to cast the sacrificed creature from your graveyard this turn.
Cast that creature from your graveyard by paying one mana.
Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Havengul Lich granting its active permission to a creature card in your graveyard, letting you cast it repeatedly by funneling the mana produced by Karametra's Favor enchanted onto Grimgrin, Corpse-Born. Each time you cast that creature, you can sacrifice it to Grimgrin's activation to untap him, fuel your mana production, and trigger Anax, Hardened in the Forge to generate fodder or sustain the cycle. Because the Lich also steals the sacrificed creature's activated abilities, the engine keeps feeding itself while making Grimgrin infinitely large through endless counters and sacrifices.
