How it works

1. Activate Wall of Roots by putting two -0/-1 counters on it (due to Innkeeper's Talent), adding .
2. Activate Tayam by paying 3 and removing three counters from creatures you control.
3. In response to Tayam's ability, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Wall of Roots, adding .
4. Resolve Tayam's ability, milling yourself three cards and returning Wall of Roots from your graveyard to the battlefield with two vigilance counters on it due to Tayam and Innkeeper's Talent.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious engine spins an infinite loop of sacrifice and resurrection, fueled by Tayam, Luminous Enigma's ability to pull low-cost permanents straight from your graveyard. Ashnod's Altar provides the colorless mana to repeatedly pay for Tayam's activation while letting you send your creatures to the graveyard on command. Meanwhile, Wall of Roots serves as the perfect recyclable sacrifice target, generating green mana while stocking up on the very counters Tayam demands as fuel. The magic truly comes together thanks to Innkeeper's Talent, whose Level 3 ability doubles the counters placed on your permanents—meaning Wall of Roots enters with double the vigilance counters from Tayam and can safely absorb extra -0/-1 counters to keep the mana flowing.
