How it works

1. Activate Hammerhead by sacrificing Boss's Chauffeur.
2. When Boss's Chauffeur dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
3. Resolve the Hammerhead ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the transformed back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant persist to your team, ensuring that any nontoken creature that dies immediately returns to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. By feeding Boss's Chauffeur into Hammerhead, Maggia Boss's sacrifice ability, you trigger the Chauffeur's death clause to flood the board with Citizen tokens while also growing Hammerhead with infinite +1/+1 counters. Because Boss's Chauffeur returns via persist, you can continuously sacrifice it to the Hammerhead to keep the entire engine running indefinitely.
