How it works
Activate Spawning Pit by sacrificing Rampant Rejuvenator.
When Rampant Rejuvenator dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
Resolve the Spawning Pit ability.
Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive ability to grant your other nontoken creatures persist, which sets up a brilliant engine alongside Spawning Pit and Rampant Rejuvenator. When you sacrifice Rampant Rejuvenator to the Pit, its persist trigger normally returns it with a -1/-1 counter—except the creature naturally enters with +1/+1 counters that immediately cancel those out via state-based actions, resetting its persist eligibility entirely! Meanwhile, Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn provides an alternative face with useful convoke support if you ever need to shift phases, and the churning cycle of sacrifices fills your board with charge counters while ripping every single basic land straight out of your deck and onto the battlefield.
