How it works

1. Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing the nontoken creature.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
5. Resolve the Grimgrin ability.
6. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding one mana of any color.
7. Cast the creature from the top of your library by paying its mana cost
8. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Grimgrin, Corpse-Born into an ever-growing threat by feeding him a creature sacrifice that immediately returns to your hand's virtual extension, the library. Pitiless Plunderer provides the necessary mana generation by coughing up a Treasure token every time a creature dies, fueling the repeated casting of your sacrificial offering. The missing link for casting directly from the library is neatly solved by Fortune Teller's Talent, whose static ability lets you look at your top card while its activated levels enable you to play from the top of your deck. Finally, Mortuary steps in to ensure that whenever your chosen creature hits the graveyard, it goes straight back onto the top of your library to be recast, keeping the cycle infinitely repeating.
